Always reliable Net Nanny

Another year, another Net Nanny renewal. I've used their service for years now, and it just works. Setup was easy again, just like last time. No surprises, which is what I want from parental controls. The multi-platform protection has been solid across all our devices. Glad to see the consistency.

Decent filtering, a bit pricey

I tried Net Nanny for the first time, mainly for the pornography filter and website blocker on my home network. The content filtering works quite well, I haven't had any issues with unwanted sites getting through. Managing it from the remote management console is fairly intuitive. I wish the initial setup had been a bit clearer on some of the advanced settings, but once it's configured, it's fine. Value-wise, it feels a tad expensive compared to some alternatives, but the performance is there. It didn't slow down my internet speed noticeable, which was a concern.

Good for kids, minor setup hiccup

I purchased Net Nanny a few weeks ago for my kids' devices. The ordering process on the ContentWatch site was straightforward. I picked the annual plan and got the download links quickly. Installing on their tablets and my phone (for remote management) was mostly smooth, though I had a bit of trouble with the initial configuration on one Android device; it took a few tries to get the app blocker working right. Customer support was helpful when I called, they walked me through it. The activity reporting is pretty detailed, and I like that I can monitor youtube usage. Delivery was instant since it's software. Overall, it's doing what I needed for screen time management.
